LCD power connector problem? And how to fix It

Hi,

my screen fell of, and it snaps a little bit power connector on Logic board, one of the pins is loose, and backlight on screen does not work (computer works fine when plugged to external monitor, also on built in screen after turning iMac It is possible to see Apple logo.

How can i fix It ? I want to solder pin back, but what voltage should i see on this pins ? Anyone has graph for that ?

@danj Thanks Man,

I’ve soldered pin right to its place but, screen still does not have backlight .

I’ve check continuity on pins and they looks ok, two pins on left have same connection to the chip below is this correct ?

I want to make sure that Logic board is fine before ordering a new screen :)

Sorry I don't have the schematics for this series. I would just test continuity across the connector pin by pin.

Be very careful! Push the pin back through the plastic go slow and make sure you don’t over stress things!

Once the pin is at the same elevation as the other pins, carefully solder the pin back down, hopefully the pad is still present.

Before you push the cable back on make sure the pin is inline with the others.
