My controller will not connect

My Xbox controller recently started acting up as I will power on the console and sometimes my controllers will connect for a few minutes but then just disconnect. Also the sync button on the side of the console will sometimes work but usually doesn’t I think it is a problem with the console as neither of my controllers will connect
