MacBook fell a while ago, but now screen works 5 sec and then turns of

So my macbook pro fell a while ago of my bed, the damage was minimal ( a couple of lines of pixels didnt work anymore on the bottom of the screen). but then after months of use and opening and closing the lid the area that was broken became larger.

then one time I came home started up my laptop and the screen turned on, i logged in on macOS but then the screen turned off again. only the screen the latop was still running.

is there a fix for this or do I need to replace the screen ?
