Touch Bar not responding to touch

I recently got a new replacement Touch Bar complete with its cable. My Touch Bar has been dead for a long time and I figure this time I’m going to fix it. So, I replaced the cable first, and turned the machine on. The display works! All OS operations work except touch. It will not register my touch. I have reset my SMC and PRAM, and no avail. I tried going to Recovery Mode, and tapping on Esc does not even lit the button.

So, I tried to use the new display this time. With a little bit flexing on the cables, I was able to attach the cable end to the port near the fan, and another cable from the Touch Bar to the top right (if the battery is up closest to you) to the logic board. Same thing, display only and no touch.

Any ideas, experts?
