The larger of Apple's MacBook Air laptops featuring dual microphones and 802.11ac Wi-Fi connectivity.

Flashing Folder and SSD not found in recovery but only sometimes.

I went through a lot of questions about the flashing folder at startup and even questions on SSD not seen in recovery mode but here is where i have unique problem, if i do the process of internet recovery and once the recovery screen loads, if i just restart the laptop (since i cant run Disk Utility or MacOS, as the drive is not seen here) it loads properly. I even see the SSD in the Disk Utility once the laptop loads normally, disk repair shows no error. When i restart the system I again get the flashing ? folder and have to do the entire process of internet recovery and then just restarting the system and then it works fine as long as I don’t shutdown or restart the laptop. How do i fix this?

I am running Catalina on my mid 2013 Macbook Air.

Also additional question, in case there is no solution other than changing the hard drive ,i would rather sell the laptop, in that case, how do i factory reset it, considering the SSD doesn’t show in the recovery screen.

Go into your Preferences > Startup Disk - Make sure your internal drive is the blessed drive. Did that solve it?
