LG 32LB5610 backlight is too dim - troubleshooting?

Hi everyone.

I’ve read a couple of other threads here, but am none the wiser.

The TV was on last night and suddenly the screen went dim. I have fiddled with all the settings, energy saving, , factory reset and software update, but it’s not fixed the issue.

The backlight is working and the brightness is uniform, and when I lower the backlight from 100 it dims even further, but at 100 it is too dim.

There is also slight flickering in the brightness.

I’m guessing it’s something to do with the power going to the LEDs - everything else seems to be fine with it, working perfectly.

I took the back off the panel last night, and could see the backlight was ok, and I had a quick look at the capacitors and to my untrained eye they looked ok, but I’ll have another look at them tonight. Could one of the capacitors have gone without bulging or could it just be an issue with the whole power supply board?

I’ve tried another power lead and the issue remains.

Any help/advice is greatly appreciated!
