Constant air noise through mic when in party

I have a turtle beach recon 50x headset. Whenever I’m in a party with my friends. They hear this sound as if I’m at a waterfall or something. Whenever I turn my mic monitoring on, all I hear is a constant blowing noise. To add to this, whenever I mute my mic or pull it out of the port, it stops completely. I do not know if I need a new mic or headset as a hole, or a controller. Please if anyone out there could help me that would be appreciated.
