iPhone 3G是第二代iPhone。型号A1241,有8或16 GB容量,和炫酷的黑色或洁白的白色塑料背面。修复比第一款iPhone更简单。需要螺丝刀、撬撬工具和吸尘工具。

Issues with Cellular connection

I have the EXACT same problem with my iPhone 3G.

Just replaced the "main" flex cable due to a broken on/off button and now I get "No Service", but WiFi works.

I've verified all flex cables are connected, and even triple checked flex cable #6.

Anyone with ideas/suggestions?

Perhaps I've used a 3GS main flex cable instead of a 3G one?

PS,

It originally complained about not being activated, and that activation would take some time, left it over night, in the morning it said it was activated.

FYI,

All my downloaded apps close immediately after starting, but iOS default software (like maps) works - very frustrating.

"No Service" means that the iPhone is not getting reception. It could be due to antenna issue (my first guess). SIM Card problem, Carrier Issue including bad signal from Carrier.

First step in trouble shooting is backward in this instance because you recently repaired the iPhone. So turn it OFF, carefully open it up and make sure the Copper Pin at the bottom of the Logic Board at the Do Not Remove Sticker is making firm contact with the Chrome Bezel that goes around the entire iPhone Case.
