Ps4 controller doesn't charge even after charging port replacement?

So I bought the right charging port and the flex cable. I replaced it with no problem, but when I went to go charge it to see if it works, It didn’t charge. I also tried resetting with the reset button but still wouldn’t charge. The battery is completely dead.
