Hi, I have a very strange problem with an iPhone 8:
The touchscreen only works when no home button (3D touch flex) is connected… and the home button does not get recognized at all. No optical damages, I looked closely and everything was done professionally. Does anybody know what the cause of this annoying problem might be? I actually tried six different displays. Always the same result.

This is a common problem with the iPhone 8 series caused by the ground pins at the end of the home button connector being pushed in. If you have some sort of magnification you should be able to pry them out into their normal position.
