Why can't it read my battery?
Okay, so randomly the other night, out of nowhere, my iPhone XR restarted on it’s own, when it came back up it showed that it had 0% battery along with the “Unable to verify genuine Apple battery” warning. I plugged my phone in, thinking maybe the battery randomly died (it’s maximum capacity is at 94% after all), but it wouldn’t charge, it would just sit there, restart after awhile, come back up and repeat. Even after taking it off the charger it stays on with no problem, it just restarts every 10-15 minuets. This is less than ideal when trying to watch videos or facetime or anything that takes me longer than 15 minuets to do. I took apart the phone and reseated the battery that same night and it recognized, it worked for the rest of the next day then gave out again, I haven’t been able to get it to pick up again since. I’m not sure whether this would be coming from the battery, the battery plug on the board, or the power IC on the board. Considering it picked back up after reseating the battery, I’m leaning more towards a battery problem. Does anyone know for sure what would cause this? Any help would be appreciated
