1 Replacement screen lights up, but not responding to touch
I replaced the screen and the home button and everything lights up and looks great. However, the touch screen does not appear to be responsive. The volume, main power button and new home buttons seem to all be operational but I cannot slide and unlock the screen or anything else. It connects through my car (2019 Hyundai) and plays music and plays music if I double tap the home button, so it doesnt appear that I damaged the board inside. Do I have a loose connection somewhere or a bad part?
it is possible for the loose connection. I would also try restoring the iPod. That has worked for me. Sometimes new lcds are just defective like that upon arrival.
