Windows not detecting my wifi adapter

Recently i switched operating systems from linux to windows

When i was using linux it was working perfectly.

I was installing windows, i got to the wifi part but there was nothing just a ethernet option.

Please help,

The information you gave is not useful. What WiFi chip do you have on your computer?

You can always use Windows Update to automatically match drivers if you don’t know, as long as you have connected to the internet in the first place.

Catch 22 huh.

Sorry, my friend has this problem and i dont know what the chip is,he sad that is from telecom.

But i know that when he plugs it into the usb port nothing happens,but the usb port is working.

Also nothing in the device manager

That’s the problem when describing problems. Other people have zero knowledge of the background and no access to the malfunctioning device, in order to reduce back and forth, you need to obtain and present information proactively instead of just showing a screen containing nothing and ask it’s broken what do I do? You have the device on your hand and you don’t know, nobody else will know.

Unknown device will show up in question marks, but you can still read its basic information. Also it is possible that it is located behind some hub/bus that will require a platform driver to recognize first.

Maybe just get an Ethernet cable to connect and run through Windows Update first, solves most of the problems.
