While replacing the trackpad ribbon I broke the ZIF connector on the trackpad control board. Is it possible to replace just the control board or do I have to replace the whole trackpad? Any ideas where I might buy the board?

If you have the tools and the part to perform the job, it can be done, is more easy to find a donor computer that the single small part, if not:

I would just replace the trackpad with a new one Vs trying to fix the damaged one.
Don't forget to consider the skill set and tools needed to micro solder the connector on.
If any soldering is required, then I’ll pass. I’ll replace the trackpad instead. Thanks for the advice.
Except the trackpad doesn't seem to come with the control board. Or does it? I'd also like to know where to buy the board.
It comes with a board attached to it, has electrical glue on the connections of course it comes with the small board, for a consumer will be almost impossible remove the old one and install on the new one.
