Wii won't turn on. Red light on power button. Makes a faint clicking .

Hello,

I hadn't used my Wii in a couple of years. My Wii is unmodded. Plugged it in and the Wii turned on for a moment - disc light flashed blue, then nothing except the red light on the power button.

Now whenever I plug it in I get nothing except the red light on the power button. It won't turn on.

I noted that there are similar questions. The different symptom for me is that there is a faint clicking sound heard when the power button is pressed.

I've tried replacing Bluetooth and WiFi modules, fan and disc drive. It's none of those things. The clicking can be heard when none of those modules are plugged in and I press the power button.

I'd prefer not replace the Wii as I'll lose my downloaded games. I just need the Wii to work long enough for me to transfer my games to my Wii U.

Any thoughts on how to troubleshoot further?
