door switch replacement when controls are touch screen?

I need to replace my door switch on whirlpool dryer model WED7500GC0. I have the switch I have watched video after video but they are all depicting dryers with knob style controls & my dryer is all electronic. I don't have end caps on my dryer top it's one piece across. I don't want to mess anything up further when the fix is simply the switch. Can someone please help me with the process? I apologise if my description is a little off my husband is out of town & I'm on my own to do this fix. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks, V

This can be a little tricky to pull off if you've never done it before. Find a thin putty knife or small screwdriver insert about 1/2 inch from the side of the unit underneath the control panel there is a metal clip on either side you may need to (once located) smack the handle of your tool to dislodge the clips. You can get a better view of you need by removing the back panel of the control. Once the control is off remove the screws holding down the top (2-4 Philips) then pull front then lift up.
