I just removed the battery from my MacBook Pro, and it will not turn on when plugged in. The battery removal was necessary; it was very swollen. I have the original charger, and I have plugged the MacBook in as if I was charging it. However, it will not show any signs of turning on, besides the green LED on the charger. Does anyone have any recommendations as to how I can fix this issue?

Not all macbooks need to have a battery in to turn on when it is plugged in it should work! It can depend on the max wat of your charger in that factor of what you had tried to do!
Laptop is having other power issues remove some ram reseat test ram
It could be some other bad hardware
Bottom plate should be on not screwed down

The Airs & Retinas will work without a battery the Unibodies need the battery.

So you took the battery out and then put the same battery back in, is that correct?
