Cord torn in half, any way to fix?
my headset wire had bees torn apart almost directly in the middle and I don’t know how to fix this or if I need to get a new headset altogether.
this was after I had attempted to fix.

I have replaced headphone cables in the past with a double ended 3.5mm cable. I just cut off the end and soldered the wires to the breakout board inside the earphone chamber. Here is a quality one I have used that I liked:

To get the mic portion to work, this will be more complicated. You might need to cut the cable below the mic and vol controls and wire that up to the mic cables inside your headset. Or you could use the mic that comes with the replacement wire to make things a little easier.
