The S/N you reference is the source of the screen (first S/N) 13" MacBook Pro i7 2.7 GHz (Early 2013) and the system you are trying to put it into 15" MacBook Pro 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo Unibody (Late 2008). Are very different systems and the display won’t work on your older 2009 system.

Here is the correct LCD panel MacBook Pro 15" Unibody (Late 2008 - Late 2011) LCD Panel if you just need a new screen alone. Often the inner frame cracks at the hinges so the the lid is not stable and often the display gets damaged when lifting the lid up. You’ll need to find a used display assembly if you can.

Replace an LCD panel compatible with all 15" Unibody MacBook Pros. 15.4” screens. 1440 x 900 or 1680 x 1050 resolution options. Glossy, anti-glare, and high-resolution options.图片

its the opposite ... I want to put the screen from my late 2008 model on the newer 2013 ... the screen on the 2013 is cracked

完成的

The reverse is also true. The 2008 screen won't work in the newer 2013. Besides the size difference the signaling is very different! Your older systems display uses LVDS signalling whereas the newer 2013 system uses iDP (aka eDP).

Think of it like this... A AM only radio can't hear FM signaling.
