iPad Mini dead after digitizer replacement

Hi to all, I hope you can help me with this huge problem.

I was going to replace the digitizer on this iPad Mini 3. It’s not the first time I do this operation and I followed step by step the procedure. I also disconnected the battery before disconnecting the LCD flat.

So I connected the new digitizer and I was testing it before closing all. The ipad started normally and showed me the lock screen. I left my workstation for 2 minutes, I came back and surprise: no display image! So i disconnected all the connectors (always the battery first) and I reconnected all, but now it’s dead.

I tried everything: recovery mode, DFU, plugging into AC, plugging into computer but it’s dead and it’s not recognised by iTunes. The power button is working (I tested with a multimeter).

What could be happened? And how can I fix this?

Thanks to all of you for the support.

Update 02/07/2019

It’s hard to say what happened but I would start with a simple test; disconnect the LCD and Digitizer (battery first!) and then reconnect the battery and connect the iPad to an iTunes enabled computer. What this does is essentially connect only the logic board to the computer. If you wanted to take this a step further, disconnect the cameras and buttons as well. If the logic board is still not recognized, then you most likely have a battery or logic board issue.

What was the condition of the battery prior to this? A weak battery would cause similar symptoms and this could be a coincidence (you are a shop I presume so you wouldn’t necessarily know the history of the battery). Measure the voltage of the battery with a multimeter and insure it is properly charged. If it is, then the problem will be with the logic board. Depending on your level of skill, you could start probing the board. At the very least, do a thorough visual inspection of the board, particularly in the connector area and the small components that surround the connectors.

Thank you Minho for your reply and your time. I will try to connect only the logic board to iTunes and we'll see what will happen.

The battery was good, I tested it and its voltage is 3.85V. I did also an ispection with my microscope and nothing is damaged near the connectors. I know that there are some fuses on the board, but I don't have schematics for iPad mini 3.

You have to use the mini 2 schematic, they are very similar.
