G3 B&W connect to iBook g4, power on but the keyboard doesn't
the g3 powers up fine, but now the keyboard will not function. The mouse & keyboard lights up 2gether but 2 seconds later the keyboard doesn't function. What could it be?

This could be several things. First switch the USB port. Next try a different keyboard and mouse. Also try just the keyboard and then the mouse to try to isolate the problem.
