Why is my phone not switching on or charging

My old moto g 1st gen just turned off and won’t charge or the display won’t turn on (haven’t used for over a year)tried a few hacks seen online to disconnect battery and try to charge and reconnect it also disconnected screen and tried charging as well. Can’t seem to understand if it’s a motherboard issue, screen issue or battery. Any suggestions? Thank you
