New battery. MacBook turns off when charger is unplugged
I followed the FixIt guide for replacing a battery on a MacBook Air Early 2015. My older battery was having trouble keeping the charge. I let it charge to 100%, then let it continue charging for two more hours. However, after setting the energy preferences so that he Mac would not turn off in order to deplete the battery, when I unplugged the power adaptor my mac turned off. I tried everything to fix this problem (SMC reset, PRAM reset, re-installing the new battery etc.). Why is this happening?
Here are some screenshots from CoconutBattery:
EDIT 1:
After checking the battery under “About this Mac” I get the following information:
CoconutBattery is saying that my battery is charging, by my Mac itself is saying otherwise. Why is this?
EDIT 2:
I reinstalled the old battery, but now this battery is not charging either. When I disconnect the power adaptor, the macbook continues to turn off. What is going on?
EDIT 3:
I performed a SMC Reset on the older battery ( removing the battery, holding the power button for 10 seconds, re-installing the old battery, pressing the power button) and now it seems that this battery is charging. However, I did this multiple times with the newer battery and it does not charge. Thoughts?

It is green, and on the top right corner the battery icon says 100% charged
