So, typically it’s not meant to reset using an external hard drive, but what typically happens is that it updates during the day, and may have saved a critical file to you external HD!
So, when you tried to turn it back on it went and said “screw you!” That’s ok, you can simply hard re-set the device, and to do this effectively you need to let it power down to about 5% battery.
Then you need to hard reset, first try Command ‘R’ and it should take you to a OS reboot screen, if that fails Option-Command-P-R.
Now realize that if you let this occur it will wipe your drive clean. So if you want you can Command-Shift-Power to hard shut down, and sometimes this works. Turn it back on, let the battery drain completely, and plug in and try again. Hard reset again and you should have resolution. Otherwise, unscrew the door (the bottom of the computer) and disconnect the battery first, restart and if that fails disconnect the SSD. This should be your last resort as it is a software issue and will need a soft ware solution. It is actually very common.
Is it safe to assume you got your system wet? If so what did you spill on it.

No also when I said ssd I meant hard drive

If you didn't get it wet what happened?
FYI: You have a Solid State Drive (SSD). A hard drive is a spinning disk and is much larger!

The ssd was a auto correct I meant hard drive, I left my hard drive in my computer over the week And when I started the computer back up I think it tried to start using the hard drive

The thingy that holds your stuff inside is shouldn't distract what your issue is.
The fact your system is not booting has to do either with the stuff on the thingy or something else.
