Why is it that only one side of my headphones work?

The left side of my headphones work, but when I push the plug/audio jack of my headphones while holding it both of the sides work. Does anyone knows how to fix this?

Thanks, I will try replacing the cord. If that doesn’t work I will just replace my headphones.

Not exactly sure how to fix this but it sounds like the plug has worn out. I have had this issue happen on a number of headphones that I owned. I have always just replaced them but you could try replacing the cord if you feel you have the skills to do so.
