Display Problem couldnt solve by changing screen?

Hello I’m Sinan!

I have MacBook Pro 15’’ Retina Mid-2015.

Since last month my screen doesn’t work. When I use TV or another screen with HDMI MacBook works perfectly.

When I took my computer to Apple service they said I should change my screen. But new screen also didn’t work. They said display connector on logic board has some oxidization so we have to change logic board and screen…

Of course I did not accept that because it is too expensive for Mid 2015. At least I can use it like desktop.

I disassembly logic bord and clean display connector with isopropyl alcohol but did not change anything. Also I change LVDS cable but again did not change anything

Who’s “they”, Apple?

Apple will always suggest a logic board replacement if some component like the display connector fails. It sounds to me like you will need microsoldering repair on the logic board’s display connector though from some specialist like Louis Rossman (for example…).

I can’t speak for how much a display connector repair would cost, but it will be much cheaper than however much Apple is charging.

Thanks for your respond. Yes Apple. In Istanbul its hard to find a specialist as you mentioned but I will try to find.
