Why are there vertical lines running down my screen?

I recently replaced the screen on my iPod Touch 6th generation. After I put it back together and turned it on, there were vertical lines running down the screen. I followed the instructions carefully and made sure all the cables were plugged back in. Any ideas what I did wrong?

Hello!

Two possibilities: either the replacmeent screen you’ve used is damaged, or the logic board was damaged in the process. Provided that you’ve ensured all connectors are seated properly, you may want to attempt to put the original screen on if it might give you a better idea of what component is faulty.

Good luck!

Have you tried holding down the power button and the home button? If that doesn't work, try to connect your iPod to iTunes on your computer to see if that does the trick.
