Does restoring an iPhone 4S to iOS 6 remove activation lock?
I have a white iPhone 4s that a friend gave me. The front panel is shattered, the home button is missing, and the actual button underneath is non-functional. The rest of the phone works well, and is in decent condition. I was thinking of looking for an activation locked 4s to use as a parts phone. However, I know Apple is still signing iOS 6.1.3 for the 4s. Does anyone know if restoring an iPhone 4s that has been activation locked to iOS 6.1.3 remove activation lock. Would I be able to upgrade the iPhone to iOS 9 and not have to deal with activation lock. If so, I would rather not part out a 4s with activation lock.
