water on the floor beneath it
I have a 1970 Frigidaire refrigerator that has water on the floor beneath it - there is no water line no - what could the source be?
Hi,
What is the model number of the refrigerator?
If it is an auto defrost model fridge, it could be that the melt water from the freezer when the fridge is in the defrost cycle, is not going into the evaporator pan that is usually found under the fridge and is going onto the floor.
The pan slides into guide rails, maybe it has moved or is missing. Access to the pan is usually possible via a removable kick panel at the front of the fridge - model dependent.
Or perhaps the heater element which is in the pan (if your model has this setup) is faulty and not helping to evaporate the melt water, so the pan is filling up over time and overflowing onto the floor.
