Apologies, new here and on mobile so I may have missed something, but didn't see a walkthrough for upgrading the RAM on these models.
I mostly want to find out how hard it is to muck around considering the thinness of the Air models.

All of the air models have soldered RAM so you can’t replace it.
But! You could swap out the logic board with one that offers more RAM. Even this has its limits! As your system only came in two configurations 4 GB or 8 GB.
Review the IFIXIT guide MacBook Air 13" Mid 2013 Logic Board Replacement for the different logic board options and then you can select the RAM size.
