Why wont my camera turn on

A couple days ago I accidentally dropped my camera on the floor of a shelf . The drop was about 5 feet but im over estamating a bit. Nothing broke but the battery cap and the the 2 batteries flew out. I tried placing them back in the first one went in great and but the second one didn’t look right but that was the only way. My camera wouldn’t turn on and im not sure the batteries died because i got it sep 6 and dropped it dec 31 and haven’t used it much. Can someone help in worried its broken it has alot if sentimental value
