Hi:
After replacing the damaged battery, the backlit on my keyboard won’t work anymore. I did the ambient sensor test with the camera and unchecked the options for adjustment on the preference menu. Im currently using the latest version of Mojave. The keyboard used to work and I used the video provided by this channel, which was very helpful. Any suggestions what could be going on? I’ll appreciate any tips.

Yes I did. Unfortunately, it didn’t work. I also installed the OS from scratch with no success. I feel very disappointed since I just finished removing the cover to double check every connection. And as expected, everything looks good. The webcam works, the keyboard works. So I guess is if the battery is none-genuine apple product, might that be the reason?

It seems I wasn't the one who had this problem. Meh, I gave up trying to make it work properly and just ordered a new device. Thankfully, I found a seller close to my zip code in Phoenix https://worldpostalcode.com/united-state...

thank you. I had a closer look and the backlit connector was still unplugged under the logic board. I missed the connector during assembly. I carefully managed to pull it out and there it was. now its working.

Have you tried SMC reset?
(SMC=System Managment Control)

Unfortunately, I had to get it from e bay, instead of here in fix it because of shipping issues. The postal office won't handle lithium batteries.
