What is the thickness of cd rom and hard disk?

The SSD will fit into the HDD caddy, you just have to be aware if you get a SSD which has a thickness of ~7mm and the thickness of the original HDD is more than this, that you may have to “pad” out the HDD enclosure in the laptop with a foam insert so that the SSD connectors line up with the motherboard connectors and make a good connection

Note where the original HDD drive connector pins are in relation to the HDD caddy before you remove it from the caddy and then when you install the SSD into the caddy make sure that the connectors are at about the same height in the caddy. Hopefully this makes a bit of sense.
