Why my washer machine won't power up ( 9 out of 10x)?

My Samsung washing won’t power up, but if I keep continually playing with the press ON button every 5 minutes: 1 in 15x the screen display would be ON for few seconds. And if i am fast enough before the display disappear, to starting my program, then everything seems fine. The cycle runs fine to the end, no problem. The display looks fine, everything seems fine, no errors. As long as if I am fast enough before the display disappear.

What seems the problems with the power up? And how could i repair that?

Update (10/09/2018)

Is there any other possible explanation beside the wire loose? The washing machine works in every ways except powering up . Once it power up, it starts fine with program cycle to the end, OK, no disruption nor error.

Which part of the control board am i focusing? Isn’t sound more like the on and off button has problem, every time when i press on/off button, every time there is a sound “click” but then it turns itself off, and sometime it displays the screen for a few seconds before turn off by itself.

Use a multimeter and check the wiring going to the control board. Look for loose wires and also examine the solder joints looking for a cold solder. You can also go over the connections with a soldering iron and flow them.

This really sounds like a bad electrical connection or a bad start button. Here’s a video on taking care of those pesky cold solder joints:

Are you saying if i replaced the control board, that would solved the problem!!?

I will started with the loose wires first, Hopefully that fix the problem.

The control board seems hard to reach especially to flit over the circuit board for the solder joints.

NO! I'm not saying that, what do I know, I don't have access to the machine to test it. That's your job.

I had the similar issue: power button was flaky. It required more and more force it seemed or just pressing it a number of times. I took a look at the main circuit board. Initially it looked fine. I was thinking the power button (the circuit board button, not the power button cover that you press) was flaky because pressing it directly was hit or miss. I actually took the board out of the case (leaving all the wiring connected). On closer inspection, one of the power button solder joints had become detached and intermittently making contact with presses. I reheated the joint and put some new solder on there—power button now activates with minimal effort! Hope that helps somebody in the same boat.

Same issue with my Samsung WM. Sometimes it turns on then off. Then there are times that it doesn't really turn on anymore. But if I leave it plugged, then it turns on by itself automatically. It's like it has a life of its own. If it turns on, the cycle won't be interrupted even if the display is off. There are also times during cycle, the LED display turns ON and OFF and ON again. But even if the LED display is off, the washing cycle will just continue til the end. Haven't tried opening the machine yet, I just called Samsung support so that they can look at it.
