Input is blocked! Parental password reset? Factory Reset?

Hi ,

I have a 55" RCA LED TV and Model No is "LED55C55R120Q".

The screen show up only the massage "Input is blocked !" and all buttoens on the TV is disabled except power button.

I try to reset Parental password or factory reset but so far I couldn't get it.

I have a remote which works fine and I able to get to "Factory setting" screen but there is no reset function.

All inputs such as AV, TV, and HDMI are disabled.

Please help me.

Hi @brightonman ,

I realize that you said that none of the TV side buttons work but try the following to try and reset the parental control password, just in case a combination of two buttons do work. (Apologies if you already tried this)

Using the remote select parental control from the TV menu.

When the password input box appears press and hold the volume + and channel + buttons on your television (not the remote) for 8 seconds.

There should be a message that the parental controls have been unlocked.

Hopefully if you can unlock the parental controls you should be able to access the Keypad Lock and the Source Lock options to unlock them.

This isn't much of a parental control. I'll bet most kids could figure this one out easily. In fact, I can envision parents having to ask their kids to disable parental controls for them!

Well I have a65 inch rca and it won't come on no sounds no pic Cable company trouble shoot it and it never came back on can someone please help

What is the model number of your TV?

You say "...it won't come on no sounds no pic."

Have you checked that the power to the TV is OK?

If the power outlet is OK, is the TV's standby light on or off?

If the TV's standby light is on, try a power reset:

Switch off the TV wall power outlet (if you have the type that has a switch) and remove the TV power cord from the wall outlet.

Press and hold the TV power on button (usually found on the front or side of the TV itself) for 30 seconds and then release it.

Reconnect the TV power cord to the wall outlet (and switch on the wall outlet if yours has a switch)

If the TV's standby light is on try to turn on the TV either with the remote control or by pressing the TV power button, and check if the TV turns on.

If the TV's standby light in not on or it is on and it still doesn't turn on after trying a power reset, was there a storm or power outage just before the TV refused to turn on?
