The area on the case near the hinges are opening.

I recently, back in December, got a gift from a friend, which was his used laptop. The right corner of the laptop had always opened up, but it was always ignorable.

However, recently, the other side has been opening up and the top case (the keyboard side) was lifting off. After unscrewing the underside of the case and trying to rescres it, I discovered that the screws near the top of the hinges would not screw back in.

Is this repairable?
