Why does my touchscreen keep cutting out?

Hello all. My Iphone 6 touchscreen keeps working fine then out of no where it will do the exact opposite and the touchscreen quits responding totally. I have done many hard resets, I have updated it to the newest update and I have contacted Apple via laptop.. Nobody has been able to figure it out. The only thing I have noticed that works when this issue arises, is to lock the phone, wipe the screen kind of hard with my shirt and it goes back to normal majority of the time. It works fine for a few days to longer than a week, then out of no where it stops working completely. Can anyone help or have any suggsestions?! I just had a new battery and screen put on a few months ago too. Thanks in advance. Any help is greatly appreciated.
