new battery need for the esquire mini harman kardon

According to the image in the ifixit Harman Kardon Esquire Mini Battery Replacement guide, the battery in your device has the following specifications:

3.7V 2000mAH 7.4Wh with the dimensions of 6.5mm depth (or height) x 52mm width x 52mm length. (P655252)

I am unable to find an exact replacement battery, however the closest one that I could find is this one, which you may wish to consider.

It has the same voltage specification of 3.7V, but has slightly less capacity at only 1800mAH. Its' dimensions of 5.0mm x 50mm x50mm means that it will physically fit into the device.

NO. That battery you suggest has only two leads, and the HK battery (P655252) has three (3) leads, black, white and red.

I knew that but since there are no 3 lead equivalent replacement batteries available that will physically fit into the speaker, to make it work I suggested the above.

If it doesn't charge correctly (white lead is the 'sense' lead) try placing a 10K Ohm resistor between the white lead of the speaker and the black on the battery and see if that works.

At least if the battery works (either way) you haven't contributed to the e-waste landfill problem and have also overcome the seemingly "planned obsolescence" of devices by manufacturers who do not provide or cater for parts replacement
