Hi I need some help please! Our Lenovo thinkpad did some weird flashing and then shut down. When we try to turn back on it runs very loudly and the screen is black. I’ve tried removing the battery, 20 sec power reboot, etc. Please help!
We have a thinkpad but not exactly sure of the model

Have you tested the hard drive ? if had custumors in the past having a simulair problem with a laptop having black screen and turns out the HDD was busted, installed a new one and it was fixed.

Try connecting an external monitor to see if there is anything on its' display.

Just so we're on the same page.
The model number should be on a label on the underside of the laptop.
Without a screen display it is difficult to know what is going on.
I assume that there are no lights flashing on the keyboard area or sides and no "beep codes' on startup

@jayeff I took it to a computer store. They have to do some work on it. Apparently dust got in it or something and the fan stopped blowing it out. They are working on it...thank you so much for responding!
