Do you need the data on the tablet?

If not power off the tablet. Once it's off hold power, volume up and home. Release only power but keep holding the reset when you see the Samsung logo.

Stop holding the reset when you see a light blue screen or the recovery menu / green Android no command.

Menu should appear after a bit.

Use volume up and down to navigate menu. Power to select an option.

Do factory reset wipe data then reboot device and the tablet will start up and will take about 5 minutes to boot first time after reset.

Go through setup wizard as needed and and screen lock is gone.
