Is it possible to hardwire a rj45 connector to the motherboard?

Hi all.. i have an old galaxy tab pro that has a cracked screen.. and i am using it as an android media center using kodi..

I have a mhl micro usb 2 hdmi adapter with remote that works very well.. but i would really like to loose the wifi and use a ethernet connection.. but i dont know if this is possible... is there anywhere on the mainboard where it would be possible to solder an rj45 socket to...

And just fyi the mainboard is no longer in the tablet casing but is in a homemade case..

Thanks in advance for any info on the subject..

Best regards

Kristjan

no

The PCB is printed, and programmed only for WiFi Adapters of a specific make. Not only is it physically not able to pin out on the board, you would also need to make your own IC on the device.

so as the answer is a flat NO. there is a hypothetical yes. if you are a technologist, with knowledge of the Samsung Mainboad Pinout for your model, the tools to make your own subboard, program a PLD to use as a Network IC, and repin the original Network IC to accept the new Sub PCB as an attachment. then perhaps something could be worked out. unfortunately all of these skillsets are different specializations for different jobs, and most people who know the intricacies of one, only know the bare basics of others.
