The Explorer saw significant exterior, interior, and suspension updates for the 1995 model year, losing all its exterior bodywork shared with the Ford Ranger.
Check to make sure your coil pack isn't having issues. I've seen a few of these Explorers and Rangers from this time period that have had coil pack issues. Good luck!
