Fingerprint function does not work

Dear,

I repaired my ipad mini 4 for the first time,

I have an problem with the fingerprint function.

When i replaced the home button and try to test the screen and the function ,my fingerprint does not respond anymore.

I checked in the touch id options and it is not turned of so i think its not broken, also i can just switch it on and off. When i had this problem with an iphone the ios gave an error that the touch id will not work.

Is there any solution for this or what i might did wrong.
