You may have a non functioning microphone on your phone.
There are 3 microphones in the iPhone.

- The bottom microphone is for Voice Memo and phone calls. The other microphones serve as error cancellation
- The (top) front microphone is used for FaceTime calls, Siri and selfie videos with the front camera (FCAM). The top back microphone serves as error cancellation
- The (top) back microphone is used for videos with the rear camera (RCAM). The top front microphone serves as error cancellation
Make sure you update your device to the latest version of iOS and then try to isolate which microphone is not working properly by trying each individual microphone with the related apps above. If the issue affects more than one microphone, then it could be the Audio Codec IC on the logic board.
Anything at the logic board level will require micro-soldering so you would need to find a repair shop that offers those services.

Can this problem be fixed
I have a Lenovo laptop that's not even 2 yrs old yet. It worked in the past where we could hear each other on messenger but they can't hear me. What can I do? I am not savy with computers or the lingo so please take it slow with me on how to fix this issue.
I also have a Lenovo laptop and have used it in the past but all of a sudden, I can hear them but they can't hear me.

I have a tablet...Samsung A20 does that work the same as the phonenu are talking about for allmthe microphones? I am the one who is having that my friends cant hear me on zoom , but I can hear them. I can here the videos on face book and pinterest great and also listen to music on Spotify with no problem. But I also seem to be having an issue of staying connected to messanger too since it has been updated on Monday on the 7h of june. I need zoom for my groups and for communication and messanger too. Need help.. Please. Monica

where is the answer to the question
My wife and I had a huge fight cause of the same reason she uses iPhone I think and I used my Samsung galaxy tab A I don't use a headset and she does and we never had this issues till now 2 times she said to me she was not going to sit there on call with her wife if I was not talking to her yesterday she fully blamed my end but then this morning I turned my cell on and she did a 360 saying she couldn't hear me and I couldn't hear her so it had to be both ends I told her if she couldn't hear me or I couldn't hear her she should have texted me saying so but she refused can someone help me cause this app is about to break us up after 12 years of being together and this issue is stressing me out and will put me in hospital with my deadly illness kicking in with all this stress

Why can’t people hear me on the other end of my messenger video call? I am using a new Samsung S7. I have uninstalled & re-installed several times, hard reset the phone, tried other messenger apps and nothing. Gone through all the phones settings too. Makes the call ok I just cant hear them.

I can’t be heard on a telehealth session, but my volume is all the way up. Don’t understand why because it’s been working fine.
