S7 Active Screen Replacement Problem

I put this under S7 because S7 Active isnt in the list.

I recently bought this phone, and it works but the motherboard has problems so I am going to replace it.

I took the screen off without problems, and the new motherboard is on the way.

I went to buy precut adhesive for the screen, and noticed something.

The screen, when removed, has a plastic mold where physical buttons are (home back and menu key.

Mine was super stuck to the screen, and the plastic is very fragile. The slightest bend and it snaps.

It ended up looking like this:

Its unusable. When i try to remove the adhesive on it, on either side, it separates into pieces.

The only place i can find that sells the adhesive has adhesive included for this piece:

The problem is that it doesnt seem to include the plastic piece. I cant find anywhere that sells it. I am thinking of buying a broken screen to remove the plastic more carefully (breaking the screen if i have to) but the fragility of the plastic itself leads me to believe that will be wasted time and money. The adhesive is stronger than the plastic is flexible.

Is this piece necessary? Is there any way to buy it separately?

Any help would be appreciated.

I'd consider it necessary because that piece is what stops the buttons from getting stuck under the glass. The S7 has it too but only one slot instead of three. It's ok if that part breaks a little and heat gun will loosen the adhesive and make it easier to remove. Piece the broken bits together and puzzle piece them into the midframe. The new adhesive on the screen assembly should hold them in place.
