What is the port next to the wifi card on the mother board.

I was wondering if anybody knew what the port is next to the wifi card towards the battery on the mother board. It looks like the same thing as the wifi card spot except its a little bit larger and it does not have the plastic female connector on the motherboard like where the wifi card attaches to on the motherboard. I figure it might have been an option in the design to be able to upgrade to a better graphics card or additional ram or something along those lines. I fear I may only get the answer from a Toshiba Engineer or somebody that is extremely well versed in modern day laptop circuit board design. So if anybody could help it would be greatly appreciated, the curiosity is killing me.
