Where can I get a replacement plastic gear for the front motor?
The plastic gear is split and missing a tooth causing it to lockup when being used.

Seems to be simpler to buy a whole motorized brush head unit.
They carry them at sharkclean.com

I called Shark and told them what the problem was and gave them the date of purchase,and it was only 14mos old they sent me a new motorized brush head for 1/2 price. $10.96 and free shipping.

The small sprocket on the motor split. I repaired it by removing it and cleaning it thoroughly, carefully applying good old JB Weld, clamping it so the crack was completely closed and letting it sit overnight, actually 2 days. Then I pushed it back on the motor. It held! It is still working great after about 6 months.

Thanks but my problem is the gear is stripped of the teeth.
I can give you a temporary fix, if the gear is stripped and not cracked. I got some friction tape and cut a strip about 1.5" long and about 1/8" wide. I wrapped the gear as tight as I could the same way the motor rotates. I put the belt on which also puts a little more tension on the belt,closed the assembly and tried it out. It's been a week so far,and it works as good as it ever did. I don't know how long it will last ,but so far so good. I hope this will be helpful, until we can find out where we can get a new gear.
