Hi @trimmerbird, I think you had set to a higher resolution, etc

else, if the picture was taken, you can use online image resize to compress your pictures.

you can try this,

1. Turn on the Canon camera by pushing the toggle or turning the wheel at the top of the camera -- depending on your model -- to the "On" position.

2. Press the "Func/Set" or "Menu" button, depending on your PowerShot series.

3. Press the labeled buttons that serve as left and right arrows or press the "Omni Selector" wheel to scroll through the settings. Select "Compression/Recording Pixels" or "Recording Pixels."

4. Press the "Func/Set," "Func" or "OK" button to save your settings.

Tips

The recommended resolution for most digital photos is M2 or M3 at a resolution of 1,024-by-768 photos for some cameras as 1,600-by-1,200 for other Canon series. With this resolution, the Canon PowerShot produces clear photos small enough for emails but detailed enough for digital documents.

For high quality, space-saving photos at any resolution, set your compression setting to "Fine."
