my sound just quit! i have trouble shoot and nothing seems to correct the problem. very frustrated!!!

does the sound work with or without headphones at all or is is completely gone ? was the tablet dropped or get wet at all? Do you get notification sounds?

I get sound with earphones, or ear buds, but none through the speaker.

Was the speaker crackling or sounding weird before going out? It sounds like the speaker may have died if it worked before.
One thing you can try, is to back up all of your data, and then do a factory reset on the device to see if that helps.
