My tablet has me unable to log in

Samsung tablet comes on, then when I swipe it opens to a page that just asks for my password. I've tried all my passwords that might apply there but nothing works. I've entered my Samsung, Google and Norton passwords. With each entry I get a wrong password notice and then I'm locked out for another 60 minutes. The lock outs started at far less time and have increased to the 60 min. Is there something I can do to recover this other than a hard reset?
